Nutrihealth is a medical weight loss company focused on improving patients overall health. Patients satisfaction is our top priority. We are seeking a highly motivated and friendly Medical Assistant to join our Nutriheallth team. Teamwork and professionalism are crucial.

Duties as the Medical Assistant position include but are not limited to:

• Obtaining and recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Assisting the front desk staff on as needed basis in scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance
• Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations
• Confirming Prior Authorizations are required and submitting requests promptly, following up on delayed or outstanding Prior Authorizations, and Working proactively to prevent denials through accurate and timely submissions
• Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families
• Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
• Assisting with all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and EHR systems preferred but will train the right candidate
• Strong patient service and care skills
