Salary: $50,000–$60,000 annually
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Reports To: Director of Finance

Career Opportunity

First Call's direct hire division is seeking an experienced Commercial Credit & Collections Specialist for an established company in Macon, Georgia.

This position requires working 100% onsite in Macon, GA. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available.

We are specifically seeking candidates with at least 5 years of hands-on commercial business-to-business (B2B) credit and collections experience, including independently reviewing business financial statements, evaluating commercial creditworthiness, and establishing customer credit limits.

Important: This position requires commercial credit decision-making experience. Consumer collections, retail financing, or accounts receivable experience alone will not meet the qualifications.

The position offers long-term career potential, including possible advancement into a Credit & Collections Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze commercial customer financial statements to assess creditworthiness and financial risk.

• Review commercial credit applications, business credit reports, and trade references.

• Independently establish, monitor, and adjust commercial customer credit limits.

• Manage B2B collections and resolve delinquent commercial accounts.

• Review customer credit holds and determine appropriate account or order releases.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and identify potential credit risks.

• Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining professional customer relationships.

• Collaborate with sales, accounting, and other internal departments.

• Maintain accurate credit and collections records using ERP and accounting systems.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial B2B credit and collections experience.

• Direct experience reviewing business financial statements and making commercial credit decisions.

• Experience independently establishing and adjusting commercial customer credit limits.

• Experience reviewing business credit applications, credit reports, and trade references.

• Strong commercial collections and accounts receivable experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Ability to work 100% onsite in Macon, Georgia, Monday through Friday.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or wholesale environments.

• Experience handling complex commercial credit accounts.

• Interest in future leadership opportunities.
