Bilingual Accounting Associate (Mandarin & English)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Bilingual Accounting Associate (Mandarin & English) in New York. Are you fluent in English and Chinese? Do you have previous accounting, billing or administrative experience? If yes, read on! Our client is a property and casualty insurance agency and they serve a diverse clientele of small businesses, with particular expertise in industries such as hospitality, professional services, and adult day care centers. Their agency combines deep technical knowledge with a relationship-driven approach to provide trusted risk management solutions. The salary for the Bilingual Accounting Associate is $50,000-$55,000. The role includes:

• Communicating with and assisting insurance brokers, companies, and retail insurance customers
• Processing accounting tasks such as Invoices, Notices of Cancellation, Billing inquiries, Status of Payments, etc.
• Handling phone calls regarding accounting inquiries.
• Reconciling commission and billing statements

Qualifications: They are looking for a self-motivated individual to assist with general accounting and billing processes to assist their brokers and insureds. The position will include on-the-job training to learn everything you need for the role, as well as on-going training for knowledge about the insurance industry. Requirements:

• Fluency in English and Chinese
• Previous accounting, billing or administrative experience is a plus
• Able to work 40 hours per week, (Office is open Mon-Fri 8am-6pm)
