Program Aide (Research Dietitian)

Job Title Program Aide (Research Dietitian) Overview The Research Dietitian will oversee the implementation of a dietary intervention for adolescents with PCOS living in Texas as part of a two‑year grant. The role includes updating intervention materials, conducting bi‑weekly nutrition consultations, coordinating food purchases, and supporting data analysis and publication. Responsibilities Intervention preparation support (15%): Assist in developing intervention protocols and research templates; develop and revise a dietary intervention handbook; create nutrition notes and a protocol for documenting counseling meetings. Support virtual/hybrid dietary intervention (70%): Coordinate bi‑weekly (or weekly) nutrition counseling with families; conduct and oversee counseling to ensure alignment with the handbook; train the Research Coordinator and graduate student; aid in coordinating food purchases, recipe development, meal planning, and answer questions; track food purchasing expenditures. Interpretation and publication (15%): Assist in interpreting, analyzing, and publishing study findings. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum bachelor’s degree approved by ACEND. Pre‑professional experience approved by ACEND. Passed or forthcoming within 3 months of hire the national exam administered by the CDR. Completed continuing professional education requirements. Active Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license within at least 3 months of hire. At least two years experience providing nutrition counseling to adolescents or patients with PCOS. At least two years experience in research. CITI training. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills; knowledge of dietary intervention principles; proficiency with office software. Other Requirements Security-sensitive; research with minors. Compliance with state, federal, and Texas A&M policies. Tasks performed safely and may require work beyond normal office hours, including weekends. Remote work options may be available based on role and eligibility.
