Our team members are motivated individuals that do remarkable things every day!Position SummaryAAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Lockport, LA that is the leading provider of quality construction, manufacturing, engineering, repair, and conversion products and services to the marine industry.A 1st Class Electronic Technician is responsible to lay out, build, test, install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electrical and electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems.Essential FunctionsDiscusses layout and assembly procedures and problems with Electrical EngineerDevelops sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic unitsAssembles circuitry, performs terminations or conducts testing according to engineering instructions, technical manuals and knowledge of electronic systems and componentsRecommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenanceSets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life cycle tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production modelAdjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performanceWrites technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitationsChecks functioning of newly installed equipment in vessels and structures to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditionRequirementsMinimum of 5 years of experience as an Electronic TechnicianAbility to read and interpret drawing, schematics and other electrical/electronic technical documentationFamiliar with applicable commercial and Government specifications and codesComprehensive knowledge at component/system start up, testing, troubleshooting and repair
