Electrical Engineer

We're searching for an Electrical Engineer, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll be responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems within generator enclosure. You'll also ensure reliable power generation through proper sizing, protection, synchronization, testing, troubleshooting, and compliance with electrical standards.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Designs and specifies electrical systems within generator enclosure
• Develops and reviews single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
• Conducts protection coordination and grounding system design
• Ensures compliance with applicable standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA)
• Provides technical support and installation instructions for generator operations

Skills & Requirements

• The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree required
• Degree in electrical engineering preferred
• Professional experience with SolidWorks 3D Software required
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook required
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment required
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings required
• Ability to read tape measures required
• Good mathematical skills required
• Ability to communicate plans, goals and information effectively to the workforce required
• Ability to work within a fast-paced, team-driven environment required
• Ability to work with highly customized products required
• Ability to handle pressured situations with professionalism and calm and work without supervision required

Environmental Job Requirements

• Willing to work in extreme weather conditions and around loud noises
• Environment may include vibrations, strong odors, moving mechanical parts, exposure to electrical shock, flammable liquids and gases, oils and solvents, and working on platforms or equipment over 4 feet from the ground
• Will require appropriate Personal Protection Equipment to be worn
• Typically requires travel 10% of the time
