Days, nights, and weekend shifts 24/7 local support from operators and clinicians Tablet in each patient’s home for electronic documentation Career pathing with opportunities for skill advancement Weekly and/or Daily Pay Employee Stock Purchase Plan with 15% discount Employee Relief Fund Benefit eligibility varies by employment status and location Responsibilities Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders Observe, assess, and report changes in patient condition to supervisor/physician Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, and care coordination promptly Participate in, implement, and update the nursing care plan Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment to achieve outcomes Recognize changes requiring intervention and apply care to prevent or reduce risk Adhere to Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act Provide care using infection control measures per OSHA standards Educate patient and family on disease process, self-care, and prevention strategies Maintain knowledge of nursing competencies through continuing education and evaluations Qualifications Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered CA LVN license Current CPR certification (hands-on component) TB skin test - 2 step (current within last 12 months) One year of prior hands-on nursing experience Reliable transportation Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with policies Continuing Education as required by state State-Specific Requirements South Carolina – One year pediatrics experience California – One year experience required working under current nursing license Louisiana – One year experience required working as a licensed nurse Continuing Education as required by state Preferences Six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting Home health experience Other Skills/Abilities Attention to detail Time management Problem solving and conflict resolution Organization and communication skills Physical Requirements Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English Must be able to travel Must be able to lift 50 pounds Must be able to reposition patients and move equipment without assistance Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting Must be able to sit and climb stairs Must have visual and hearing acuity Must have strong sense of smell and touch Must be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations Environment Function in diverse environments with potential exposure to allergens Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases As an employer accepting Medicare and Medicaid funds, employees must comply with health-related requirements in all relevant jurisdictions, including required vaccinations and testing, subject to exemptions where appropriate.
