Tax Manager - CPA Firm - $100-150k - Hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our partner client CPA firm, as a Tax Manager. In this role, you will lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of our work.

Responsibilities:

• Review all types of tax returns, workpapers, and tax projections prepared by firm personnel.
• Lead tax planning and projections.
• Assume a leadership role in federal and state tax audits and communications with regulatory authorities.
• Manage all phases of engagements, including time budget monitoring, engagement letter creation, and providing 'client-ready' deliverables.
• Coordinate staffing of engagement teams.
• Interact with the C-suite or decision-makers of clients, maintaining a value-added relationship.
• Serve as an ambassador of the firm and attend industry, client, and technical external events.
• Participate in firm marketing and business development initiatives.
• Take part in tax department initiatives.
• Conduct in-house CPE training.
• Serve as a mentor to associates, senior accountants, and supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in tax accounting, focusing on estates and trusts.
• In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
