Its AI agents operate directly within browsers and customer systems, handling integration-heavy workflows that traditionally require significant manual work. The company is YC-backed, already serving financial institutions across multiple markets, and is rapidly expanding its engineering team as customer demand grows. About the role This is a senior, high-ownership engineering role for someone who wants to build across the stack rather than own one narrow piece of infrastructure. You’ll help scale the company’s AI compliance platform by building browser automation agents, improving core compliance logic, developing end-to-end cloud systems, and experimenting with the latest AI models and agentic workflows. You’ll also work directly with customers and prospects, translating real-world compliance problems into products and systems that can operate reliably in complex environments. What You’ll Do Build and improve browser-based AI agents for complex integration workflows Develop core product logic supporting KYC, KYB, AML, and related compliance processes Own and ship end-to-end systems from concept through production Design and deploy cloud-based systems using technologies such as Python and AWS Experiment with new AI models and develop novel agentic workflows Work directly with customers and prospects to understand requirements and gather feedback Contribute to product, architecture, and technical decisions as the company scales Maintain a high bar for quality while moving quickly and accounting for edge cases Why This Role Is Compelling Join a YC-backed AI company at an inflection point as the team rapidly expands Work on AI agents solving complex, real-world problems within financial services Take significant ownership over products and systems rather than operating within a narrow engineering function Work directly with founders, customers, and other highly technical team members Experiment with emerging AI models while deploying systems into real production environments Help shape the technical direction, product, and engineering culture of an early-stage company The Ideal Candidate 6+ years of professional technical experience, with particularly strong software engineering fundamentals Experience building and deploying end-to-end systems in cloud environments Strong track record of owning products or major technical initiatives from 0→1 Experience as an ex-founder, founding engineer, early startup employee, technical lead, or similar high-ownership role is strongly preferred Experience building or scaling products in early-stage or high-growth environments Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with customers High ownership and agency with a low-ego approach to collaboration Able to move quickly while maintaining strong attention to quality and edge cases Comfortable challenging assumptions, offering differing perspectives, and taking feedback Strong product instincts and a genuine interest in building things Experience in FinTech, RegTech, or financial compliance is a plus This Role Is NOT For You If You’re looking for a remote or primarily hybrid position You prefer clearly scoped tickets over owning problems end-to-end You want a role with little or no customer interaction You’re uncomfortable operating in a fast-moving early-stage environment You prefer established processes over helping create them You’re not comfortable receiving direct feedback or challenging decisions constructively You’re looking for a narrowly defined engineering role without broader product ownership A quick note on authenticity This is a real, active role that CoffeeSpace is recruiting for in close partnership with the hiring team.
