Cavazos in the remote training Gatesville area, so long drive with reliable transportation is required. VetPride Services performs Dining Facility services at several locations on Fort Hood Army Post. The Cook II position is responsible for taking care of all dietary and nutritional needs of Soldiers, ensuring their ability to face the challenges before them. Duties and Responsibilities Bake, fry, braise, boil, simmer, steam and sauté as prescribed by Army recipes Setting up, cleaning and organizing work stations Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing, chopping, seasoning meat etc. Qualifications and Skills Regularly required to stand and walk, and frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Required to be on his/her feet for extended periods of time. Must frequently squat, stoop or kneel, reach above the head and reach forward. Lift and carry up to 25 lbs, and may require occasional lifting and or moving up to 50 pounds. Must be 18 years of age and be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Prior experience in a dining facility preferred but not required. Knowledge of sanitation procedures Must be able to and willing to drive to job site location at North Ft. Cavazos. #J-18808-Ljbffr
