JOB SUMMARY Responsible for approving supplements and medications, helping patients transition off medications as needed, creating protocols, and providing comprehensive functional medicine care. Educate patients on medication and treatment plans from a functional medicine perspective. Provide outstanding service and care to patients who are seeking treatment for medical weight loss, hormone replacement therapy, and peptide therapies. DUTIES Provide care from a Functional Medicine perspective by interviewing, assessing, and treating clinical patients, meeting their medical needs, and improving their quality of life Consult with Medical Director and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources to patients and families Oversee mid‑level medical staff as assigned, assign appropriate aspects of care to non‑physician staff Assist in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations Complete all charts and dictation (if applicable) on the day of visit assuring completeness and accuracy Take responsibility for comprehensive and accurate coding of each patient encounter submitted the day of encounter Participate in utilization, research, and quality activities within practice setting as well as in activities affecting the ambulatory care network as a whole Providing comprehensive medical services for patients on a continuing basis Analyzing reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnosing condition of patient Administering or prescribing treatments and medications Promoting health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods of prevention of disease Referring patients to specialists when necessary for the patient's well‑being Other duties as assigned.
