Quality Inspector

Job TitleResponsibilities:Use proper inspection methods & complex equipment (i.e., complex part set-ups and inspections, CMM operation & programming preferred)Performs inspection of receiving, in-process, and finished components utilizing various types of measuring and test equipmentVerify SPC data when applicable for final acceptance of partsInterfaces with other employees regarding quality issuesInspection of Products/Material and Inspection Records through MES-System and generates required documentation on discrepant disksInspection of returned goods from customers. Define the discrepancy and report as required; if applicablePreparation of certificate of conformance as required by customer; if applicable.Recommend and/or assist in development and implementation of inspection instructionEnsure nonconforming material is segregated and is properly documented and controlledRead, interpret, and comply with policies, applicable regulatory, safety and company rules and requirements, operating instructions, procedures.Effective communication skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skills.Maintain focus regarding safety, quality, and productivity.Ability to interface effectively interdepartmentallyRequirements:Minimum 2 years of experience in using general measurement tools per inspection requirementsPreferred:Basic to intermediate math competency (Geometry, Basic Trigonometry)Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) knowledgeExperience with calibration of Precision Measuring Equipment (calipers, micrometers, depth indicators)Strong computer skills, including proficiency in (MS Office, Excel)Education:Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) (or)Vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
