Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments that evaluate patients' psychological, emotional, and social needs, resulting in tailored treatment plans that meet individual goals. Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver individualized therapy sessions to clients, including adults, couples, and families. Facilitate engaging psychoeducational and support groups that address prevalent mental health issues, providing an inclusive space for clients to connect and share their experiences. Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated and holistic care that prioritizes a comprehensive treatment experience. Provide immediate crisis intervention services, offering support and guidance during critical mental health emergencies, thereby contributing to improved safety and well-being for patients. Educate clients on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources, enabling them to make informed decisions about their care. Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information. Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions to enhance professional skills and stay informed about advancements in the field of mental health therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse array of clients who present with various mental health concerns. This includes individuals from different socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities, and age groups. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution. Valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of New York. Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities, demonstrating an understanding of evidence-based practices. Proven experience in conducting mental health assessments and developing effective, tailored treatment plans. Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality individual and group therapy services to a varied clientele. Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate building trust and rapport with clients. Sound judgment and a strong commitment to maintaining professional ethics and boundaries. Preferred Experience Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field is highly desirable. Experience in working with diverse populations, especially in underserved communities.
