RN - 3E, Intermediate Care Unit

Registered Nurse – General Pediatrics Stepdown Unit Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware. This position is FULL‑TIME, 60 hours biweekly , rotating or night shift, with every third weekend and holiday rotation. This unit, 3 East, is a surgical intermediate unit serving patients requiring post‑operative care for urological issues, traumatic injuries, and general surgery. It also cares for patients with acute and end‑stage renal disease and those needing an intermediate level of nursing care due to tracheostomy and/or ventilator requirements. Each patient room is equipped with oxygen, compressed air, suction, state‑of‑the‑art cardiorespiratory bedside monitors, and computers that enable the healthcare team to access a patient’s electronic medical record. The job requires a wide range of patient‑care skills, including chest tube management, pain management, blood product administration, urinary catheterization, tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and central line care. Special equipment on this unit includes infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, BiPAP respirators, oxygen delivery methods, PCA & epidural pumps, wound vacutainers, ventilators, and specialty beds. The Synergy model is used to make appropriate patient assignments based on patient and family needs and nursing skill set. The goal of the unit is to provide high‑quality, cost‑effective patient care. Qualifications Professional and dedicated nurses passionate about pediatrics BSN preferred; associate’s degree requires completion of a BSN within three years Pediatric experience preferred At least six months of nursing experience required Bilingual preferred Eligibility for or current DE nursing license Must have BLS certification through the American Heart Association #J-18808-Ljbffr Nemours
