Duties As a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC) at the GS-2210-12/13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Plans and administers the Joint Training Enterprise accreditation project management process to ensure IT Specialists and system owners are successful in achieving accreditation and communicating needs/requirements to maintain accreditation.Plans and reports to Joint Staff Chief Information Security Officer, DoD as appropriate, regarding the management, control, coordination, and execution of the Joint Training Enterprise systems accreditation projects and services.Administers and monitors the application of the Defense Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (RMF) across the Joint Training Enterprise system portfolio.Performs a variety of Joint Training Enterprise accreditation technical support, advisory duties, and consultant support for the entire JTE portfolio and regularly interfaces with Department of Defense Chief information Office Programs Managers, Joint Staff Program Managers, and other partners/stakeholders.Makes decisions and develop alternative solutions based on obtaining Joint Force Development mission goals/objectives.Works on special projects such as performing analysis on complex cybersecurity business issues, identifying quality control metrics, and preparing highly technical briefs.
