Role: Senior 5‑Axis CNC Machinist & Programmer (Aerospace focus)
Where: Grand Prairie, TX
Pay: $25.39/hour
Shift: 2nd shift, 1:30 PM–10:00 PM

Your impact

• Own setups and production on gantry/portal CNC mills; Zimmermann platform experience is a big plus
• Translate drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM outputs into robust machining strategies
• Author and refine G/M‑code for intricate geometries and multi-axis operations
• Choose tooling, set offsets, and validate features via first-article and in-process inspections
• Use calipers, micrometers, and CMM to verify tight tolerances
• Diagnose machine/tooling/program faults and implement durable fixes
• Execute routine maintenance; coordinate scheduled service with maintenance teams
• Document production results, inspections, and utilization metrics
• Adhere to HSE standards and contribute to a safe, organized workspace
• Partner with engineering, quality, and planning; coach junior operators

What we’re looking for

• HS Diploma or GED required; Technical/Vocational or Associate’s in Machining/Mechanical preferred
• 5+ years’ CNC machining experience in production environments
• Experience with large-format/gantry mills; exposure to 5‑axis workflows
• Knowledgeable with CNC controls and shop-floor programming
• Expert in GD&T and precision metrology
• Comfort machining various materials, including acrylic
• Strong command of feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters
• Preferred: Hands-on with F. Zimmermann (FZ Series); aerospace background; lean/CI (Kaizen, 5S)
• Soft skills: Problem-solver, meticulous, clear communicator, collaborative, able to prioritize in a dynamic production environment
