Job Summary
The healthcare provider role is located in Louisville, Kentucky, within a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializing in managing general medicine and cardiology patients. The position involves assisting with patient care and requires candidates to bring their license on the first day. This role is suitable for qualified professionals with a minimum of two years of inpatient or trauma hospital experience.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, at least 2 years of inpatient/trauma hospital experience, active license to practice
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Trach care, chest tube management, PIV (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) starts, blood administration, NG (Naso-Gastric) tube starts/feed, PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) care/feed, and drips involving heparin and insulin
• Float: Float rotation may be required to mixed acuity units based on census and staffing needs
• Additional Information: The unit utilizes EMR systems, including Cerner, and various specialized equipment such as Plum ICU Medical IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensers, Phillips monitors, Teletracking, and STAR systems. The unit operates under ULH policy regarding orientation, and staffing may include LPNs partnered with RNs for assessments and admissions. The shift has a flexible schedule cycle based on unit needs, and candidates must adhere to a galaxy blue scrub color. Parking is provided free with badge access.
