• Ability to anticipate surgical/procedural specific needs based on knowledge of procedures performed and pathophysiology.
• Capability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Verifiable references from previous experience are required.

Description: Candidates applying for this position must have a minimum of 3 years of recent full-time experience as a Perioperative Care Center RN in a high-volume hospital setting. The PACU RN evaluates patients' responses to treatment and interventions and manages pain according to the guidelines of the American Society of Peri-Anesthesia Nurses. The PACU RN anticipates surgical/procedural specific needs based on knowledge of procedures performed and pathophysiology. This is in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the facility. Candidates with less experience or requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered. The schedule for this role is for a 10-hour day shift on weekdays. Candidates will not participate in on-call, weekends, or holidays. The PACU unit provides Phase I/II recovery for patients undergoing surgery or other invasive procedures. The unit cares for an average of 70-90 patients daily. Patients range from those undergoing ambulatory surgical/invasive procedures to complex surgeries, including cardiovascular, orthopedic, spine, and robotic procedures.
