RN Behavioral Health Unit Full-Time Nights

Position Registered Nurse – Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit (Full‑time, 12‑hour night shift). Three 12‑hour shifts rotating days including weekends. Self‑scheduling available. General Summary and Purpose Provide professional nursing care in a collaborative setting, contributing to ongoing assessment, planning, and treatment of patients and families within a behavioral health environment. Promote physical, spiritual, and emotional well‑being while maintaining accurate documentation and serving as a patient advocate. Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.) Current RN license required. Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire. At hire, Basic Life Support may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk. Essential Functions Incorporate the organization’s mission, vision, and values into patient care practices. Care for all assigned age groups (neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric). Patient population includes children 4–12 years and adults. Accurately document services and supplies for revenue management. Comply with hospital safety policies and procedures. Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments; document findings. Educate patients based on assessment needs. Develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care tailored to patient needs. Communicate patient status and care plans to other caregivers verbally and in writing. Prepare, administer, and evaluate medications. Operate patient care equipment safely. Advocate for patient rights. Provide measures to alleviate or reduce pain. Demonstrate therapeutic communication and establish professional boundaries. Integrate knowledge, experience, professional standards, and hospital policies into practice. Meet unit‑specific technical skills. Practice in accordance with Idaho State Board of Nursing rules and regulations.
