Step into a meaningful paraprofessional role supporting a high school student in their educational journey. You’ll work one-on-one with an 11th grader developing foundational Braille skills, focusing on nurturing their growth and confidence each day. This contract position starts soon and extends through the full school year, offering a chance to make a lasting impact.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting preferred
• Familiarity with Braille or a commitment to learning how to assist with Braille instruction
• Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to tailor support according to an individual student’s pace and needs
• Collaborative mindset when working with educators and related professionals

Responsibilities:

• Provide focused, daily support to an 11th-grade student developing Braille proficiency at a first-grade level
• Adapt lessons and reinforce learning strategies directed by educational specialists
• Offer encouragement and appropriate modifications to enhance engagement and understanding
• Track the student’s progress and share updates with the instructional team as needed
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment within the school

This contract position offers 25 hours each week, split over five hours a day. The assignment begins in just two weeks and runs throughout the school year, providing the structure and stability suited to education professionals who want a consistent, meaningful role.
