Position Summary:

Repair and maintain CNC and other machines throughout Valco’s machine shops.

Responsibilities/ Duties:

· Repair and maintain the operating condition of CNC machines

· Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment

· Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts or make repairs

· Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions using testing devices

· Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing or repairs

· Clean, lubricate or adjust parts, equipment and machinery

· Exam parts for defects

· Operate newly repaired machinery to verify the adequacy of repairs

· Analyze test results, machine error messages or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems

· Record parts or materials used and order new parts or materials as necessary

· All other duties as assigned

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Must be familiary with Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mazak, or Okuma controls.

· Must have knowledge of machines and tools including their design, usage and repair

· Knowledge of electronics including circuit boards, chips and other electronic equipment

· Must be able to determine type of repairs and maintenance required and perform the repairs and maintenance

Physical requirements:

Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull object that are 50 pounds or heavier

Minimum Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experienced Desired

Minimum of 3 years related experience
