Job Title: Business Systems Analyst Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: None Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None * * * The Opportunity: CACI is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to assist in the interpretation of financial system business requirements for IT staff supporting the Federal Protective Service (FPS) at Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Work Location: Springfield, VA (hybrid - telework) Work hours: core hours 8AM – 5PM Responsibilities: • Analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ascertain system requirements such as functions, input data, output data, techniques, controls, User Acceptance Testing criteria, and execution of user’s acceptance. • Manage and maintain the Knowledge Base. • Write and edit documents such as Procedural Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions. • Support the preparation of required Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and DHS HQ & division documentation and artifacts. • Track risks and opportunities within assigned projects, including development and implementation of mitigation plans. • Conduct Quality Reviews of documentation to identify improvements opportunities. • Apply business concepts and theories to real-world decision making. • Increase proficiency in specific business disciplines such as Financial & Operations Management. • Create and distribute project & operational reports as requested. • Facilitate projects and coordinate with cross- functional teams to produce better business outcomes. • Host and facilitate weekly/monthly project meetings. Qualifications: Required: • Ability to obtain DoD security clearance. • Ability to obtain a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD). • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent + 5 years’ experience. • Experience analyzing data streams from multiple financial systems. • Experience working with Financial Management Divisions to develop requirements for revenue systems. • Strong proficiency with Microsoft products such as Excel (pivot tables and charts), PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio and Teams. • Previous experience creating, revising, updating, and maintaining documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOP), job aids, and work instructions. • Ability to lead and facilitate meetings with government and contractor stakeholders. • Understanding of Project Management methodologies. • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in interpersonal and written formats. Desired: • Experience using Jira/Confluence • Experience with Agile and software development environments • ITILv3 or v4 Foundation’s certification • Previous IT Operations & Project experience • Previous DHS or Federal Government experience - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity. Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
