Chief Technology Officer (Hardware)

\nThis role puts you on the top technical seat for hardware that really matters.
\n \nWhat you'll get
\nThis business builds advanced hardware systems for demanding customers and governments, and now needs a CTO to build its hardware.

- The top technical seat, not a seat under it \n
- Decisions that are still open. Suppliers, parts and firmware for production are being chosen now, so you'd set them rather than inherit them. \n
- Feedback from real-world use, not lab testing \n
What you'd actually do
\nYou'd take the hardware into production with supply chain / manufacturing peers and get it built the same way every time. You'd also build the team that does it, working alongside a software engineering lead.
\n \nYou won't be starting from a blank sheet. If you enjoy taking something that works and making it buildable at volume, this is for you.
\n \nIs this you?

- A former engineer with deep electrical experience, now leading \n
- You've taken hardware into production \n
- People have followed you from one company to another \n
This isn't a remote leadership role. Expect time on the floor and at suppliers, and 30-50% travel early on. If you'd rather lead from a laptop, it's not for you. If you want to be where the hardware is, it is.
