A fulfilling opportunity awaits for a Speech-Language Pathologist eager to support students in grades 7-12 in a contract role beginning August 31st. This position centers on providing speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 33 students at a single location near Minneapolis, MN. You’ll make a meaningful impact by delivering both direct and indirect intervention, with estimated monthly service minutes in the 1,500–2,000 range.
Ideal candidates combine clinical expertise with a desire to help adolescents achieve their communication goals within a school environment. Your ability to collaborate, adapt, and inspire will be instrumental to student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid state SLP license and relevant certifications for school-based practice
- Previous experience with middle and high school populations preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and progress monitoring
- Proficiency in providing both group and individual therapy sessions
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students in grades 7–12
- Conduct assessments, collect data, and develop IEP goals tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and document all services and outcomes
- Facilitate communication development in various educational settings
- Offer consultation and support to staff to encourage a language-rich environment
