Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance Technician role in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment with a strong emphasis on electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues including motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control panels.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Install, test, and maintain electrical components and automation systems.
• Support mechanical maintenance tasks as needed, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and general equipment repair.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement continuous improvement solutions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and new system installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification in electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with PLCs (troubleshooting required; programming a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems (120V480V).
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
