Talent Acquisition Specialist – Light Industrial

Location: New York Metro & Tri-State Area
Reports To: Operations Manager
Position Type: Remote
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: Commission-Based | Target Annual Compensation: $75,000–$100,000

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced  Talent Acquisition Specialist to support high-volume recruiting throughout the  New York Metro and Tri-State area . This remote position is designed for an experienced recruiter with a strong background in the  light industrial vertical , including manufacturing, food production, warehousing, distribution, logistics, skilled trades, and related hourly workforce positions.

The ideal candidate will have an established track record of successfully recruiting and placing talent throughout the Tri-State market and understand the challenges associated with high-volume, time-sensitive recruiting. While the position is primarily remote, the Talent Acquisition Specialist must be willing and able to travel to client facilities throughout the region to conduct  Job Analyses, understand workplace conditions and job requirements, meet with hiring managers, and support recruiting initiatives and hiring events.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate selection, scheduling, placement, and follow-up.
• Recruit for light industrial positions including production associates, machine operators, packaging employees, warehouse associates, forklift operators, sanitation employees, maintenance technicians, line leads, supervisors, and other skilled and semi-skilled positions.
• Develop and maintain strong pipelines of qualified candidates throughout the New York Metro and Tri-State area.
• Conduct detailed candidate screening to evaluate experience, skills, work history, reliability, availability, transportation, compensation expectations, and overall job fit.
• Travel to client locations as required to conduct  Job Analyses and gain firsthand knowledge of job duties, equipment, working conditions, schedules, physical requirements, workplace culture, and hiring expectations.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and establish effective recruiting strategies.
• Coordinate interviews, orientations, job fairs, hiring events, and candidate start dates.
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruiting and onboarding process to reduce candidate falloff and no-shows.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the company's Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Develop recruiting strategies utilizing job boards, social media, community organizations, referrals, networking, job fairs, and other sourcing channels.
• Build relationships with community organizations and workforce resources serving the New York Metro and Tri-State labor market.
• Track recruiting activity and performance, including candidate submissions, interviews, placements, fill rates, and retention.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of recruiting experience servicing the New York Metro and Tri-State area.
• Proven track record and direct recruiting experience within the light industrial vertical.
• Strong knowledge of the New York/New Jersey/Tri-State labor market and hourly workforce.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
• Demonstrated experience recruiting for manufacturing, production, warehouse, distribution, logistics, food manufacturing, or similar environments.
• Strong candidate sourcing, interviewing, screening, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple open requisitions and recruiting priorities.
• Comfortable working in a performance-driven, commission-based environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems, job boards, and online recruiting platforms.
• Must be willing and able to  travel to client facilities throughout the New York Metro and Tri-State area for Job Analyses, client meetings, hiring events, and other recruiting activities as required.

Compensation & House Accounts

This is a  commission-based recruiting position with anticipated annual compensation of approximately $75,000–$100,000 , based on individual recruiting performance, successful placements, and overall production.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will not be required to build a book of business from scratch. The recruiter will be assigned to and responsible for servicing  existing company house accounts currently valued at approximately $75,000–$100,000 annually . The recruiter's primary responsibility will be to successfully fill existing and new job requisitions generated by these accounts while maintaining strong service levels and client relationships.
