Your Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either independently or in collaboration with physicians (depending on your credentialing)
• Providing education to patients and their families focused on disease prevention, wellness, and management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your licensed scope of practice

Your Educational Background

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications You Will Need

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or commitment to obtain within 90 days)
