Ultrasound Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to perform technical tasks, primarily pre‑defined, for customer ultrasound equipment in the healthcare sector. Responsibilities Perform service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on ultrasound medical equipment at customer sites to ensure high operational standards. Maintain ownership of customer relationships and deliver a high level of satisfaction while troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues with ultrasound equipment, either remotely or on‑site. Serve as the company’s primary customer‑facing technical representative for ultrasound while collaborating with biomedical engineers and senior staff in hospital or clinical environments. Build and sustain strong partnerships with customers through effective technical expertise and interpersonal skills. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with clinical/sales partners and peers. Perform necessary administrative duties accurately, ensuring all work and equipment adhere to state and federal regulatory requirements. Qualifications Residence within 45 miles of Phoenix, AZ or Tucson. Technical degree or certificate, or 3–5 years of relevant experience. Professional experience with mechanical and/or electrical installations, testing, repairing and maintaining medical equipment preferred; or background in an area requiring technical knowledge such as HVAC, aircraft maintenance, manufacturing systems, etc. Experience using remote support mixed‑reality tools for second‑level technical support. Valid driver’s license and good driving record; ability to travel. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs (floor to above waist/head), climb ladders/stairs, bend, twist, sit, squat, stand, reach high, manipulate fine tasks, with good vision. Computer and networking knowledge; PC competency including Microsoft Office. Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose and repair equipment, including necessary tools. Ability to understand and use technical vocabulary to perform tasks from verbal or written instructions. Compliance with hospital credentialing requirements. Professional interaction with all levels of hospital staff. Excellent organization, time management, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel >75% of the time. Self‑motivated and able to work independently. Preferred: self‑motivation; floater position travel; degree in electronics or equivalent. The Base Pay Range For This Position Is $67,550 – $92,884 per year (considering geography, skills, experience, and other qualifications).
