Underwriter

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Underwriter to evaluate and structure small business loan applications while helping business owners secure the funding they need to grow. This role combines financial analysis, risk assessment, and customer interaction, requiring someone who can review financial information, assess creditworthiness, ensure compliance, and collaborate closely with lending teams to deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and passionate about supporting small businesses through sound lending decisions. Qualifications Experience in financial analysis , underwriting, lending, or credit evaluation. Small business lending or consumer lending experience preferred. Strong understanding of finance, credit analysis, and basic accounting principles . Ability to assess repayment capacity, collateral, and overall loan risk. Experience reviewing financial statements and supporting documentation. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain loan decisions and recommendations. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience. Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
