You will own critical features used by millions of users daily, including profiles, names, online presence, co-play tools, and social proof, while also developing new zero-to-one features. If you are an experienced developer who loves to write code, ship user-facing features, mentor engineers, up-level frontend development, and drive product vision, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on this team.This role is based at Roblox HQ in San Mateo, CA (no remote option).You Will:Design, build, and ship features that power the social graph for millions of usersArchitect scalable, long-term solutionsCollaborate with teams across the company to translate ambitious business goals into a concrete, multi-year technical roadmap Serve as a technical leader, setting engineering standards and mentoring other engineersYou Have:8+ years of experience in software development with web or app technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript)Proven track record building and launching complex, consumer-facing featuresBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.You Are: Proactive: You operate with urgency, initiating conversations and driving projects forward Scrappy: You are willing to dive into any part of the tech stack (like backend or data infrastructure) to solve problems, and adapt quickly to new challengesA Product owner: You champion for changes that align with the needs of our usersInnovative: You design creative, long-term solutions that are built to scaleTeam-oriented: You value collaboration, respect diverse perspectives, and confidently advocate for the right technical pathFor roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
