Respiratory TherapistThis is a 13-week contract position.Night shift, 3x12.0 hours.The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, delivering intensive respiratory care and patient transport as prescribed, within the scope of their professional license and with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and educating patients upon discharge.Conduct routine treatments using various ventilatory, oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer equipment.Perform chest physiotherapy to promote secretion clearance.Conduct suctioning of patients via multiple methods (oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal).Monitor oximetry and capnography as per policy.Review patient chest x-rays for further evaluation.Perform 12-Lead EKG and recognize basic arrhythmias.Assist with procedures including Bronchoscopy, Chest Tube placement, and more.Perform tracheostomy care, including the insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes.Administer arterial punctures and assess ventilation efficiency.Document treatments and communicate patient response accurately.Maintain accurate respiratory therapy records, including data entry and correction of errors.Valid Respiratory Therapy license as per state regulations and relevant certifications as required.At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
