Details Short-term acute care hospital that is a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital Cath Lab unit currently expanding from four to five procedure rooms Scrub in alongside a Cath Lab RN and Cath Lab Tech as part of a three-person procedural team Adult cardiology and structural cardiology patient population 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM No floating required to sister facilities Charting system used is Cerner Requirements Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab experience required BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required ARRT registration required WV or Compact license required; pending license accepted for consideration but active license required before start License required if applicable Cerner charting experience required Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, left heart catheterization, PCI, and PTCA Skilled in scrub procedures including equipment setup, maintaining sterile field, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias Knowledge of infection control, isolation precautions/PPE, and sterile technique Minimum of 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required SSN and DOB required at time of consideration Additional Information Scrubs provided Free parking for travelers First-time travelers will not be considered due to the fast pace of the unit Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; those between 75-99 miles may be considered case-by-case at the same rate No RTO restrictions Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last employment date before returning as a traveler Current Vandalia Health System employees are not eligible for this travel assignment Orientation held every other Thursday American Traveler Job ID P-748492.
