Medical Assistant - Clinic Services/General Surgery - Casual Call

The Medical Assistant will provide professional nursing or medical assistant care under supervision or scope of licensure for clinic patients.

• Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
• Coordinate provider schedules and appointment, enter orders and prepare patient charts.
• Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
• Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards.
• Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.

Qualifications:

• BLS Certification Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from approved program. (Can be obtained on the job).
• Certified as a Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant through an approved accreditor preferred, however can train on the job.
• Working Casual Call, meaning working as needed.

Preferred Education:

Technical/other training or better in Nursing or related field.

Preferred Experience:

Healthcare experience.

Preferred Licenses & Certifications:

CERT BASIC LIFE SUPPORT

CERT AS A MEDICAL ASSIST
