Salary: $143,700 - 194,400 per year Requirements:

• We require 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We require 2+ years of non-internship experience in system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling for new and existing systems.
• We require 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related occupation.
• We require 1+ years of experience designing and building large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• We require 1+ years of experience with object-oriented design.
• We require a bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• We require experience programming with at least one software language.
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code review, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Preferred: A bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.

• We design, develop, deliver, and operate secure, reliable, and scalable solutions for customer features and internal operational improvements.
• We maintain a high standard by producing quality work and contributing to strong code, design, and document reviews.
• We collaborate across team boundaries to support projects, demonstrate ownership, earn trust, and deliver results.
• We build a deep understanding of the system and the broader service, including core customer usage patterns and workflows.
• We participate in the on-call rotation and work directly with customers and stakeholders to resolve tickets and issues.
• We apply a customer-obsessed mindset across design, implementation, testing, deployments, and operations.
• We strengthen communication through written and verbal collaboration to build consensus and drive outcomes.
• We contribute to team meetings and processes, identifying and implementing improvements to efficiency and effectiveness.
• We mentor junior engineers and act as a role model by reinforcing Amazons Leadership Principles.
