Role Description The Senior Executive/Attorney – Title Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in Owings Mills, MD. This role oversees title operations, provides legal guidance on real estate and employment matters, and ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and clearing title commitments, drafting and interpreting legal documents, advising leadership on risk management, and supporting contract negotiations. The role involves conducting legal research, developing and updating operational policies, collaborating with internal teams on complex transactions, and handling escalated issues related to title, employment, and organizational governance. The Senior Executive/Attorney is expected to mentor staff, support process improvements, and contribute to strategic decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law, with demonstrated experience providing Legal Advice in a title, real estate, or corporate environment.
- Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, including advising on workplace policies, compliance, and dispute prevention.
- Proficiency in legal Research to interpret statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to title and employment matters.
- Effective Negotiation skills for resolving complex issues, reviewing contracts, and supporting business agreements.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Maryland (or ability to obtain promptly).
- Experience in title operations, real estate law, or escrow services, with familiarity in reviewing title commitments and settlement documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to ethical practice.
- Proven leadership experience, including mentoring staff and contributing to process improvement and organizational strategy.
