Responsibilities Provides highly visible customer support through on‑site installation of linear accelerators and imaging systems, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Serves as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Interprets customers’ needs and assists in and facilitates resolution regardless of whose job the responsibility falls under. Supports all aspects of field support, not limited to system hardware, software, PCs, and networking/wireless installations and upgrades. Provides support for a wide range of company products according to technical documentation and company guidelines to ensure customers’ equipment operates properly. Demonstrates equipment operation and specification according to Customer Acceptance Procedure (CAP). Advises customers on ordering spare parts or on service requests such as emergency and contractual services to ensure equipment operates according to technical and safety guidelines. Guides customers on where to find Customer Technical Bulletins and explains their importance. Inputs detailed records of installation and upgrade work performed into company information systems to ensure accurate, updated customer installation information is available to other functions. Maintains a high degree of professionalism and safety according to company guidelines and customer regulations to perform activities under the safest working conditions. Performs parts inventory and ordering for assigned installation, including replenishing spare parts kits, short shipments, and returning consigned parts in a timely manner per procedure. Maintains technical documentation regarding operating characteristics, design factors, technical performance, and development of products to improve installation efficiency. Reports by means of FSRs, time sheets, expense reports, etc., to ensure accurate company statistical data on customer‑oriented activities is available. Completes all required installation documentation that pertains to the job being completed and updates all requested and/or required data for data tracking purposes. Uses prescribed problem‑resolution escalation procedures and requests technical assistance when necessary in a timely manner. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years related experience or Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related program preferred. Knowledge of and professional experience with electronic and electromechanical engineering, RF‑energy‑producing devices, and electronic cooling systems. Proficiency in the use of test equipment used for verification and calibration of electronic equipment. Basic networking skills to integrate the machine onto the customer server. Knowledge of and professional technical experience with PC‑based systems. Customer‑focused attitude. Articulate and skilled in interpersonal communication. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Preferred Experience Experience with RF‑energy‑producing devices and electronic cooling systems. Advanced knowledge of networks and networking techniques. Basic computer usage and debugging skills. Basic understanding of imaging systems. Desire to build a career and develop robust skill sets. Ability to travel 10 days and then have 4 days off throughout the year. Overtime and shift differential provided. Company vehicle provided; may be used for personal use under Fleet Safety Policy (valid driver’s license and no serious moving violations required). Compensation and Benefits Base pay range: $52,720 – $72,490 plus differential/overtime factors that may affect starting pay. Role also includes overtime opportunities and a robust benefit package.
