Project Manager IIIThe Project Planning Manager is responsible for managing the planning of each project (from Prospective Research to Life cycle management) under his/her responsibility in ensuring a proactive support to the Project Leader, Project Manager and Project team. For each of his/her project, he/she is leading and coordinating operational planning actors to ensure alignment between project and operational plans.He/She is also participating in the management and the evolution of the planning toolsets: templates, processes, tools...Develop and manage the planning of each project they are assigned from the R&D portfolio in the Planisware planning system.Reflect the project strastegy based on the discussions with the Project Manager, Project team and on governance decisions, including prioritization.Actively participate to project team meetings and present project plan.Analyze the project timelines and ensure optimal critical path.Alert the project team on any planning issues and provide guidance on project planning optimization.Develop scenario and provide recommendation for optimization.Lead the planning team to align project and operational planning with the project strategy.Collaborate efficiently with all operational planning actors to ensure consistency between the project plan and the operational plans.Monitor the progress, the deviation with their explanations and the associated action plan.Ensure project planning variance analysis on a monthly basis as well as on a quarterly basis.Maintain in the planning system, the planning & resources information linked to the Therapeutic Area activity for his/her projects.Provide regular consolidate update/reporting to all project stakeholders, Project team, R&D governance, Committees and Working Groups.Ensure consistency and high quality production of data on the whole project plan to support portfolio management.Participate in or lead any initiative delegated by the Project Planning Local Head, targeting the evolution of the project planning tool (including reporting & quality control), the establishment and the maintenance of processes as well as best practices and the definition and the maintenance of libraries of templates.Take over any specific delegation assigned by the Local HeadSolid knowledge of drug development process from Research through LCM and in-depth understanding of interconnections between all contributors to the project strategy at all stages of developmentHigh level knowledge of the main steps of discoverySolid project management skills: planning, resources & costs managementGood knowledge of a planning tool (Planisware preferred)Ability to understand databases and to quickly acquire proficiency with computer systems and new applicationsTeam work and transversal collaboration, strong networking skillsCustomer oriented and Quality focussedAbility to coordinate activities and stakeholdersAbility to understand and integrate constraints of operationalsAbility to identify problems and to engage appropriate interlocutor, ability to negociate Solid communication skills, written and oral Analytical and synthetic, attention to detail, rigorousAdaptability in a highly changeable environmentEnglish speaking
