As a Service Tech II in a Trucking Center at United Rentals, you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and minor repairs of Commercial and Utility trucks in a safe and professional manner. What you’ll do: Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of commercial and utility trucks and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis Demonstrate a wide array of commercial and utility trucks for customers Assist with pick-up and delivery of trucks & parts Perform other duties assigned as needed Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record CDL preferred or the ability to obtain one within 1–2 years Relevant experience: 1–2 years of automotive/light truck and/or diesel experience for repairing/maintaining commercial and utility trucks; or trade school graduate Must own tools applicable to the position Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
