Job Description

The Rapid Intervention/Response Nurse reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The Rapid Intervention/Response Nurse is a clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care to acute patients requiring rapid intervention through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice. Ability to respond to patients needing rapid intervention across multiple departments including emergency department, adult inpatient units, interventional labs and diagnostic imaging.

Qualifications

Required:

• Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois
• Three or more years of acute critical care experience
• Telemetry skills must be demonstrated within one month of hire
• CPR Basic Life Support
• CPR- Advanced Cardiac Life Support

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (if hired after 01/01/2011)
• Telemetry skills
