Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermittent Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: ADN required, BSN preferred NC or compact RN license Description: Rural facility with 81 beds, including 12 beds in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum. Census averages 0-6 patients per day. Will accept first-time travelers. Patients include those in OB Triage, antepartum, and postpartum. Patient ratios are 1:1 to 1:2. Required skills include assessing and caring for laboring patients throughout labor and delivery. Must assess and treat OB triage patients over 20 weeks. Responsibilities also include assessing and caring for newborns and postpartum couplets. Assist in treating and stabilizing newborns. Circulate in urgent or emergent C-sections. Work with a team that includes CNAs, a charge nurse, phlebotomists, and respiratory therapists. Technology includes Electronic Medical Records and specific monitoring equipment.
