CTOS - Trucks & Equipment
Job Description
Job Description
Could this be your next shop?
Do you enjoy chasing down tough electrical faults, turning wrenches on heavy truck chassis, and bringing emissions systems back into spec? At Custom Truck One Source (CTOS)—with 30+ years in business, 40+ locations, 2,600 employees, and a 10,000+ unit fleet supporting utility, telecom, rail, and construction—you’ll do exactly that.
What will you tackle here?- Find it fast: Use advanced diagnostic software and test equipment to pinpoint mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic issues.
- Make it solid: Rebuild and repair steering, suspension, and braking systems across vocational truck chassis and related powertrain components.
- Clean it up: Service emissions systems—especially EGR coolers and valves—to keep trucks compliant and reliable.
- Power the work: Install and repair PTO gearboxes; verify performance of hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, and winches.
- Clear the codes: Read schematics and correct complex faults in 12V/24V circuits, wiring harnesses, starting/charging systems, and ECUs.
- You hold a valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).
- You’ve worked as a Diesel Mechanic on Class 6, 7, or 8 heavy trucks.
- Your mechanical aptitude is high, and you never compromise on shop safety and compliance.
- You’re a vocational/technical school graduate or a military veteran with specialized mechanical training—or have equivalent experience.
CTOS offers competitive pay based on skills and experience, paid vacation, sick, and holidays, 401k match, healthcare, dental, vison, prescription insurance, uniforms, boot allowance, ongoing training and more.
