About the Employer The Western Placer Unified School District and its 13 schools and an independent study program are located in the communities of Lincoln and Sheridan, California. Job Summary Individuals in these temporary, part-time positions work with students in middle and high school. AVID tutors serve as excellent role models of motivated, organized, successful people who believe that AVID students can and will succeed.The tutors are people who work in a supportive manner with secondary students and are able to understand the delicate position they occupy. They are advocates of students, yet ultimately they are responsible to the teacher.
