Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 6W Ortho/Neuro/Transplant Nephrology unit at a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring at least 1 year of relevant experience and an active MO or compact RN license. Details Work on a 20-bed Ortho/Neuro/Transplant Nephrology unit within a Level 1 trauma hospital Patient population includes med/surg, nephrology, kidney transplant, and renal cases Dialysis is performed off-unit Patient ratio of 1:6 Unit supported by daytime unit secretary, PCTs, and a unit educator Overnight shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Required to work 3 weekend shifts per month No on-call requirements 13-week assignment Requirements Active RN license (MO or compact) currently in hand Current BLS certification Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required ADN required US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted) Two professional references required for Missouri assignments No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide med/surg nursing care to patients with orthopedic, neurological, and renal/transplant needs Virtual nurse supports patient admissions, allowing bedside nurses to focus on other patients Unit recognized for teamwork through its 'We Show Up' award Royal blue scrubs required; black scrub pants are also acceptable Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted First-time travelers may be considered These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
