Job Title: CERTIFIED Child Life Assistant Location: Houston, TX 77030 (On-site) Pay Rate: $23/hr paid bi-weekly Interview: Virtual interview Part-Time: Sat & Sun 9:00am-7:30pm (Part-time / 20 hrs) About the Role This role supports Kim's Place (Adolescent and Young Adult Lounge) by helping create a positive, engaging experience for pediatric/AYA patients. You'll help supervise activity spaces, support patient programming, and provide bedside play/engagement for patients who can't leave their rooms. Key Responsibilities Assists with delivery of diversion, recreation and education materials to patients and families. Provides additional staff coverage at special events and activities. Provides individual bedside activities and outreach to patients on the inpatient and outpatient units. Plan and execute patient programming and events Provide bedside play and engagement for patients unable to leave their rooms Support patients with varying needs using creativity, patience, and adaptability Candidate Background Required: At least 1 year of experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults through: or Childcare or Education or Youth Programming or Recreation or Pediatric support roles. Strong communication skills. Comfortable providing bedside play/support in a pediatric healthcare environment. Required: CPR or BLS is needed before starting. Required: High School Diploma.
