Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Nyack Ridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our nursing team. Available Shifts: Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM If you enjoy working with seniors and want to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives, we would love to hear from you. Our CNAs are an essential part of our healthcare team and play an important role in providing quality, respectful, and compassionate care. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation. Help residents with meals and food as needed. Take and record vital signs and other resident information as directed by nursing staff. Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition, behavior, or needs to the nurse. Answer calls and respond to resident requests in a timely and courteous manner. Provide residents with emotional support, companionship, dignity, and respect. Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents. Follow infection-control, safety, and facility policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with nurses, supervisors, residents, families, and other members of the healthcare team. Accurately complete required documentation. Perform other resident-care duties as assigned by the nursing team. Qualifications Current New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required. Previous experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare setting is preferred. New CNA graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate and respectful approach to resident care. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
