Medical Laboratory Scientist - Part-Time Evenings

Medical Laboratory Scientist Providence Portland Medical Center – Portland, OR Shift: Part‑time, evening shift (3:00 pm to 11:30 pm). Days may vary and include weekends and holidays. Responsibilities Accurately and promptly report high‑complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. Perform pre‑analytical, analytical, and post‑analytical duties, including specimen evaluation, data analysis, instrument maintenance, and problem resolution. Collaborate with acute‑care and outpatient caregivers and other laboratory services staff. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Certification as a National Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist or National Medical Technologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology or American Medical Technologists. One year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a laboratory department that meets or exceeds the duties of the MLS I job description. Preferred Qualifications At least 3 years of clinical laboratory experience in a moderate or high complexity laboratory.
