What You’ll Do Collaborate with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Exercise professional judgment to provide health care services, which include applying x‑ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups. Responsibilities include: Performing and analyzing patient x‑rays, reporting results to Medical Providers. Providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of urgent care centers. Collaborating with the ordering/treating provider to determine appropriate procedures or views. Explaining procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety. Accurately positioning patients and equipment for optimal imaging results. Selecting proper ionizing factors by adjusting radiographic controls to capture clear diagnostic images. Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and managing supplies for X‑ray equipment. Adhering to strict radiation safety protocols and implementing ALARA. Maintaining accurate patient records and logging completed procedures. Verifying image quality and ensuring images are sent to radiologists for interpretation. Job Requirements High School Diploma required. Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program. Experience in a clinical setting preferred. BLS required at the time of hire. ARRT registration required at time of hire. State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required if applicable. Essential Functions Responsible for x‑ray services and patient preparation, rooming, and administrative tasks. Maintain staff records, perform equipment calibrations, troubleshoot equipment, and provide support to the medical team. Knowledge Knowledge of X‑ray procedures and protocols. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, body mechanics, and patient movement. Knowledge of radiology equipment and safety hazards. Skills Positioning patients properly for the X‑ray procedure. Identifying equipment problems, corrective action, or supervisor notification. Following infection control and radiological safety procedures.
