Position is responsible for the operating and monitoring of equipment, recording operational data, and reporting any abnormalities. Performs minor maintenance tasks and assists higher level technicians in the operations and maintenance of the power plant. Overtime, shift work, and travel may be required. Work is performed under supervision and direction from the maintenance manager. Responsibilities Performs other technical and administrative duties associated with operating and maintaining a power facility. Inspect and monitor equipment to detect malfunctions, need for repair, adjustment or lubrication. Ensures work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements. Must be able to perform work independently and/or in work crews. Performs additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. Qualifications Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation. Associate Solar Technician High school diploma or general education degree and one to three years of experience in power plant operation or maintenance or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and experience, including relevant military experience. A valid US driver’s license is required. Salary Range: $28.51 - $40.24 Solar Technician I Two plus years of field experience in Instrumentation/Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (I&C), C&I Electrician, or comparable military occupational specialties involving electrical, mechanical, or power generation systems.
