TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Iron Mountain, Michigan, 49801!

Job Title: Med Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 11 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in Medical Surgical/Telemetry License: Required Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: Acute Care experience Description: The unit has 24 inpatient beds and can handle 10 observation/day surgeries. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1 for day shift and 6:1 at 11 pm. LPNs work until 11 pm with a team nursing approach, resulting in a 2:7 ratio. Common diagnoses include NHP, cellulitis, UTI, COPD, and sepsis. Experience with TURPS-CBI is preferred. Candidates must be comfortable with IV starts, as there is no dedicated IV team. All RNs are required to read their own telemetry strips. There is a charge nurse who takes an assignment in addition to their responsibilities. Nurse aides are available on the unit. Clientists or intensivists are present until 6 pm daily, after which telemedicine is utilized. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 in the ICU. Basic telemetry arrhythmia knowledge is necessary. Shifts are 12 hours long, with rotating weekend requirements every other week. Holiday coverage is also required for 2 out of 3 holidays. There is potential for call or standby shifts. Floating to similar units and patients is required. The dress code is solid professional attire. Unit-specific orientation is provided.
