Locums Anesthesiology in Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Optional Call, Block Scheduling

A hospital-based anesthesia assignment offering a wide surgical mix with the option to take call. This role stands out for its flexible monthly blocks and variety across service lines.

Highlights

• Optional call with additional compensation structure
• Minimum 1 week per month with ability to add more
• Broad case mix including cardiac, trauma, and obstetrics
• High daily case volume across multiple specialties

Practice & Cases

• Hospital setting with 13 operating rooms and multiple procedural suites
• Mix of inpatient and outpatient anesthesia care
• Cases include ortho, GI, urology, OB, vascular, trauma, and cardiac
• Limited pediatrics and minimal cranial cases

Schedule

• Weekday shifts starting early morning with two end-time options
• Block scheduling with recurring weeks available
• Minimum Monday through Friday coverage blocks
• Optional evening and weekend call shifts

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Active Iowa license or open to IMLC Physicians
• ACLS and BLS certifications required

Logistics

• Airfare provided with up to two round trips per month
• Lodging accommodations arranged
• Rental car and mileage reimbursement included
